Smriti Irani launches initiative to boost female participation in workforce

Women and child development minister Smriti Irani recently attended Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry – FLO  event. During this event the union minister launched FICCI-FLO’s ‘The Greater 50%’ initiative that focuses on improving the participation of women in the workforce from the self-help groups (SHGs) to board members of large companies. This would improve women’s participation in labour force, which was just 26% in 2019.
