Shri Ramayana Yatra Train

The Ramayana Yatra Train will cover Ayodhya, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Nasik, Hampi, Rameswaram and Kancheepuram. It is basically a religious tour. It was planned by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation).

About Shri Ramayana Yatra Train

  • The Shri Ramayana Yatra Train covers a religious journey. It was launched in November 2021 to resume the domestic tourism in the country.
  • The train covers prominent places associated with Lord Ram’s life.
  • There are 12 nights / 13 day packages and 16 nights / 17 day packages.

First Tour of Shri Ramayana Yatra Train

The first tour of Shri Ramayana Yatra Train began on November 7, 2021. It started from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station. The first halt is at Ayodhya. Here, the tourists will visit Shri Ram Janmbhumi temple, Bharat Mandir and Hanuman temple. The second visit is Sitamarhi in Bihar. It is the birth place of Devi Sita (wife of Lord Ram). Here the tourists will visit Ram Janaki temple. Next destination is Varanasi. From Varanasi, the tourists will visit temples in Varanasi, Prayag, Chitrakoot and Shringverpur by road. Next halt is at Nasik. Here the tourists will visit Tryambakeshwar temple and Panchavati temple. Next destination is Hampi. Hampi is the ancient Krishkindha city. Rameswaram is the last stop and the tourists will return to Delhi on the 17th day. The tourists will travel around 7,500 kilo metres under this tour.

Fare

IRCTC has given conscession to promote domesic tourism. The price of 2AC is Rs 82,950 per person. It is Rs 1,02,095 for 1AC. It covers accommodation, meals and all other transfers (road transport, etc). The accommodation is provided in AC hotels. Also, the tourists are transferred for sight seeing only in AC vehicles.
