Short Note : Kaushal Yuva Samwaad

To commemorate the World youth Skills Day which falls on July 15 and celebrate the 4th Anniversary of the Skill India Mission, a “Kasuhal Yuva Samwaad” has been launched by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. This youth dialogue will be organized between July 8th and 10th and aims to create a dialogue with youth across all skill training centers to hear their views, ideas, opportunities and recommendations which could help the Ministry in scaling the existing programs and improve the overall efficiency of its projects.

Aim

The main aim of the Kaushal Yuva Samwaad is to create a dialogue between the youth and the Ministry which is intended to identify and remedy the gaps so that all the skill development programs are properly aligned to the current demands and help in creating a skilled workforce for the future.

What will happen?

  • It will be organized across all Skill India training centres, namely, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK), Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics, Institutes under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Jan Shikshan Sansthans, DDU-GKY Centres and other fee-based training centres across the country.
  • Each training centre must invite a minimum of 20 candidates to participate in the dialogue.
  • Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an open dialogue with the Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on July 15, 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

World Youth Skills Day

The World Youth Skills Day is celebrated every year on July 15 to raise awareness about the importance of investing in youth skills development. The day aims to have a greater awareness of and discussion on the importance of technical, vocational education, and training and development of marketable skills relevant to both local and global economies.
