SRK will lend his voice for the campaign to disseminate the message that society will benefit if the citizens will respect the law and fight against the crime.
SRK joined the club of actors who have been the ambassador for the campaign. These include Hollywood actor Jackie Chan, footballer Lionel Messi, F1 racing drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen.
“Turn Back Crime”
Turn Back Crime is a global campaign that highlights the dangers of organized crime and its effect on our day-to-day lives. Using a variety of media channels – including video, website and social networks – the campaign provides advice on how to stay safe and encourages the general public, businesses and governments to play a role in reducing the impact of crime. While many people are aware that criminal networks are behind the illicit trafficking of drugs, firearms, and even persons, they are often unaware of these networks’ ties to other, seemingly unrelated offenses such as the counterfeiting of commercial goods, cybercrime, fraud, child exploitation, and corruption in sport.
Organized crime affects every one of us, it affects the global economy as well as puts even individuals at risk. Their health is endangered by poor quality counterfeit products; their financial safety is compromised by attempts to steal their personal data; and children face threats such as online grooming and abuse.
