Saudi Arabia opens consulate in Iraq
Saudi Arabia has reopened a consulate to issue visas to Iraqis in Baghdad for the first time in nearly 30 years. This came out to be a sign to improve ties between the two neighbor countries whose relations have been uneasy for years. The consulate was opened at a ceremony in Bhagdad’s fortified Green Zone. This move is expected to benefit both the countries. It will reflect positively on pilgrims and investors. Three more consulates were expected to open in Iraqi cities.
