SARSeq

SARSeq or “Saliva Analysis by RNA sequencing” is a newly developed testing protocol for COVID-19 that can assess thousands of samples in less than 2 days. This method can be used for detecting several other respiratory infections like flu virus, common cold rhinoviruses etc. This makes it a reliable tool for rapid response against future pandemics.

The new method enable large groups to be tested for SARS-CoV-2 with the same accuracy as regular polymerase chain reaction tests (PCR tests). It can test a maximum of 36,000 samples in less than 48 hours.
