Sania Mirza-Bruno Soares win the mixed doubles, US Open Grand Slam

Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares have clinched the US Open Grand Slam title against the pair of USA’s Abigail Spears and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico by registering a score of 6-2,2-6 and 11-9.
The Indo-Brazilian duo had to overcome certain thick patches in the match tie-break to record that ultimate win.
The pair, top seeds, had a marvelous first set, but somehow they were over-powered in the second set. They had to struggle hard to get over the third set which finally decided the fate of the match. Despite the fact that they were playing together for the first time, they performed a great feat on the ground. Their stride through the tie-break, in which they actually got in tune and put their act together, they embraced a 9-4 lead. The opponents who had put up a tough fight to make the score 9-9, made the duo lose 5 critical match points.
It was Soares serve, which turned around the game in their favour as it brought with it the next point in their kitty. It was finally a ball when Spears hit a long shot .
Sania Mirza had all praises for her co-player and confirmed that they will team up for the Australian Open next year.
It is the third title for Sania after Australian Open in 2009 and French Open in 2012. However, for Soares it was his second title after US Open crown.
