Sangam Youth Festival organised by Indian Army
More than 1,500 students from 32 different colleges and universities participated in the ‘Sangam Youth Festival’ held at Bhadarwah, Jammu and Kashmir. The festival is being organised from 11 October to 15 October 2019.
About Sangam Youth Festival
The event was inaugurated by the Northern Army commander Lt General Ranbir Singh.
The 5 day festival was organised by Indian Army in collaboration with Jammu University with the aim of spreading message of peace, prosperity, communal harmony and national integration.
This event comes in continuation with Indian army and administration’s effort to engage youngsters in productive activities. It is being organised in a manner so that the youngster students explore and learn from each other and are inducted into mainstream at the same time maintaining country’s rich cultural heritage.
During the event a total number of 35 events, including outdoor and indoor activities are planned in such a way that students can showcase their talent, skills, and performances in sports, cultural and fine arts.
