SAMBHAV
The SAMBHAV is a national level awareness programme that aims to promote entrepreneurship in the country. The programme focuses on boosting domestic manufacturing which in turn will push economic growth.
About SAMBHAV
The programme was launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in October 2021. The programme is to run for a month. Under the programme, students from different institutes will be encouraged to take entrepreneurship. Also, the programme will create awareness about several schemes being implemented by the Ministry of MSME. The programme is to be conducted in 1,300 colleges in the country. Around 1.5 lakh students are to participate in the programme. Bottom line, it will provide information, create awareness and encourage the students to become entrepreneurs (by taking help from the Government).
Key Features
- The SAMBHAV programme will establish SAMBHAV centre in each city of India. The cities with population more than 5 million are to be selected.
- It will collect aids, software and other forms of assistive devices. These devices are to be used as demonstrative devices in several other campaigns
- The SAMBHAV scheme will maintain information related to aids provided at different SAMBHAV centres.
- The scheme will provide information about appliances, devices and software (especially about those innovative and newly developed products). Now, the students can take up a business of promoting these products by signing a tie up with the creator. And also, by getting financial aid from the GoI.
- It will display and demonstrate the devices to concerned stakeholders
Purpose
The new products and services developed all over the country is facing difficulties in reaching the public. This is due to several reasons. The creators are not good entrepreneurs. They do not have the financial back up to take the product to the market. The SAMBHAV Scheme will help to bridge the gap.
SAMBHAV Resource Centre
The centre will provide information about appliances, easy access to devices and aids, software, etc. The centres will also demonstrate the devices. It will also showcase the assistive devices for the Persons with Disabilities. It will also showcase other assistive devices and aids. The cost of the devices and aids will also be made available at the centre. It includes the learning kits and also the kits related to mobility and communication.
