Samarth Incubation Program for Startups

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has recently launched the Samarth Incubation Program. This initiative aims to support startups in India’s telecommunications and IT sectors. It focuses on innovation and technological advancements. The program is a collaborative effort with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) as its implementation partner.

Objectives of the Samarth Program

The Samarth program aims to encourage sustainable and scalable business models. It encourages startups to develop next-generation technologies. Key areas of focus include Telecom Software Applications, Cyber Security, 5G/6G Technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Quantum Technologies.

Support for Startups

Selected startups will receive comprehensive support. They can access grants of up to 5 lakh INR. Startups will also benefit from well-furnished office space at the C-DOT campus for six months. Additionally, they will have access to C-DOT lab facilities. Mentorship from technical leaders and industry experts will further enhance their growth.

Program Structure

The program will be conducted in a hybrid mode. Each cohort can include a maximum of 18 startups. Over two cohorts, a total of 36 startups will participate. Each cohort will last for six months, providing ample time for development and innovation.

Networking and Collaboration

Samarth aims to connect startups with a network of investors and industry leaders. It promotes collaboration among participants, encouraging a supportive environment. This initiative is designed to strengthen the startup community, ultimately creating future job opportunities.

Future Opportunities

Based on their progress, startups may have opportunities for future collaboration under the C-DOT Collaborative Research Program. This aspect of the program enhances the potential for long-term partnerships and innovation in the tech ecosystem.
