Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan

Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a centrally sponsored scheme under which the Union Government provides financial assistance to states and UTs for establishing and operating residential schools and hostels in hilly regions and small and sparsely populated areas. This is to enable universal enrolment in areas like tribal habitations. Recently, Education Ministry announced that all schools and hostels funded by this scheme will be named as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose residential schools or hostels
