SAKSHAM Platform
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan recently launched SAKSHAM, a digital learning platform developed by the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW) in New Delhi. The aim of the platform is to promote medical education and training among healthcare professionals in India.
Purpose of SAKSHAM
The purpose of SAKSHAM, which stands for Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management, is to provide online training and medical education to all healthcare professionals in India. The platform is designed to help build the capacity of health professionals from primary health centres in rural and remote areas to tertiary care and corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities. The aim of the platform is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application and ensure inclusive capacity building of healthcare professionals.

Currently, SAKSHAM: LMIS offers over 200 public health and 100 clinical courses online. The digital learning platform is user-friendly and easy to access, making it available to all healthcare professionals. It provides a record of the learner’s progress and completion of the course.
