Safety of Zoom Application red flagged by Home Ministry
On April 16, 2020, the Cyber Coordination Centre (CyCord) operating under Ministry of Home Affairs red flagged Zoom application. The Home Ministry has issued guidelines to use the Zoom platform.

The Home Ministry has red flagged the Zoom application citing Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (Cert-In). The guidelines have been issued to prevent an unauthorised entry into the Zoom Conferences and prevent malicious attack on other users.

The Home Ministry has stressed that the government officials should not use the application for official purposes. The main concern of the officials is that usage of the application has crossed 200 million since the lock down.
