SAAMAR campaign

SAAMAR or Strategic Action for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anemia Reduction campaign is an initiative to fight malnutrition. It was launched recently by the Jharkhand government with a 1,000 days target. The campaign covers malnourished children and anaemic women who will be identified by the Anganwadi Centres. It especially seeks to target the particularly vulnerable tribal groups in the state. The progress under the campaign is to be tracked using annual surveys
