Rs. 4,575-crore investment to perk up 5 PSUs
In order to revitalize five Public Sector Units (PSUs), a total investment of Rs.4,575 crore are under consideration of the government. This will also revive Lucknow-based Scooters India without inducting any strategic partner.
Govt funds will be inducted into Companies like HMT, HMT Bearings, HMT Watches, newsprint maker NEPA and Nagaland Pulp and Paper for their revival.
The govt has decided to revive Scooters India Ltd (SIL) on its own instead of offering it for sale. However, investment requirement for the same has not yet been disclosed.
