Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant

Rooppur nuclear power plant is a 2.4 GWe nuclear power plant that is being developed in Bangladesh. It is the country’s first nuclear power plant and is being built on the bank of River Padma. Russia and India are also involved in this project. It is expected to commence operations in 2023. Recently, the foundation stone for power evacuation infrastructure for the power plant was laid during the Indian PM’s visit to Bangladesh.
