Roger Federer wins eighth Halle Open ATP title of Tennis in Germany
World number two Roger Federer has won the Halle Open ATP title in Germany. In the final match he defeated Andreas Seppi of Italy by 7-6, 6-4 score.
It was Federer’s eighth Halle Open ATP title after he had won in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2013 and 2014.
It was also his fourth title of the season 2015 after Brisbane, Dubai and Istanbul and overall 86th title of his career. It was also his 15th career title on grass.
In the Men’s Doubles Halle Open ATP title, Raven Klaasen (South Africa) and Rajeev Ram (US) pair defeated Rohan Bopanna (India) and Florin Mergea (Romania) pair by 6-7, 2-6 score.
Queens Club Champion title
Andy Murray (Britaun) won the Queens Club title for fourth time in his career. In the final match played at London he defeated South Africa’s Kevin Anderson by 6-3, 6-4 score.
With this win, he became third tennis legends to win Queen’s Club champion for fourth-time after John McEnroe and Boris Becker.
It should be noted that Halle Open along with Queens are two primary warm-up tournaments for the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament played on grass courts.
