Revamped ABHA mobile application
The National Health Authority (NHA) recently launched a revamped Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) mobile app. The ABHA app was previously known as National Digital Health Mission’s Health Records app.
What are the new functionalities?
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family welfare, the revamped ABHA app has a new simple & intuitive User Interface (UI) and added functionalities that enable individuals to access their health records anytime and anywhere. Other new functionalities include editing profile, link, and unlinking ABHA number with ABHA address (username@abdm). ABHA app allows users to access and share their diagnostic reports, prescriptions, Co-WIN vaccination certificates, etc after giving their consent through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) network. This will ensure better clinical decision-making.
How to create an ABHA address?
The ABHA can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. After installation, users will have to choose the preferred language and give permission to allow data sharing and external storage features. Details like name, gender, date of birth, residential address, 14-digit ABHA number, mobile number, or email ID are required to create an ABHA address. After submitting these details, users need to create an ABHA address (username@abdm) and set up a login password. Users can link all their health records to the ABHA number obtained.
