Retail Loan Portfolio: (Scheduled Commercial Banks)

The share of the retail loans in total loans and advances of the Scheduled Commercial Banks was 21.3% in 2008-09.
This has marginally come down to 19.0% by end of March 2010.
With more than 50% share in the retail loans of ` 6,22,752 Crore, Housing Loan is the biggest segment in retail loans in India, followed by the auto loans.
The market is much diversified which is eveident from the Other personal Loans worth ` 203,947 Crores from April 2009-March 2010 period.
