Red Echo

Red Echo is a Chinese state sponsored group that is alleged to have been behind the October 12 blackout in Mumbai. The incident left many parts of India’s financial capital without electricity for as long as 24 hours. The group is said to have targeted the load despatching centres thereby affecting the Indian power infrastructure using malwares according to Recorded Future, a cybersecurity company based in Massachusetts. A total of 12 critical infrastructure entities have been identified as possible targets of the threat activity group.
