Rajiv Gandhi Civil Abhaya Hastham Scheme Launched by Telangana

Telangana’s Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced in July 2024 that he would address unemployment by collecting data on job openings in all government offices every year by March. The goal of the project is to make hiring notices and processes easier. The State government will make a job calendar to make sure that every year by June 2, job notices are sent out. The process of hiring people should be over by December 9. The goal of this structured method is to make the hiring process for state jobs more open and accountable.

Data Compilation of Vacancies

Prior to the release of the job calendar, the government will gather comprehensive data on vacancies within all departments by March each year. This step is critical for planning effective recruitment strategies.

Focus on Unemployment

The Chief Minister highlighted the hardships faced by unemployed youth in the state and stressed the government’s commitment to resolving these issues, alongside reforms made to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC). Within three months of taking office, the government issued appointment orders for 30,000 positions, signaling prompt action toward tackling unemployment.

Encouraging Civil Service Aspirations

The Chief Minister encouraged a shift in mindset among Telangana youth, urging them to aim for higher-level examinations like UPSC, rather than limiting themselves to state-specific tests. The Singareni Company’s initiative to offer financial assistance to students preparing for UPSC civil services indicates a supportive environment for aspirants, reinforcing the government’s commitment to educational support. The Chief Secretary expressed concerns over the diminishing commitment of civil servants to public service. She urged civil servants to maintain integrity and effectiveness in their roles while serving the community.
