Rajasthan Prisons Bill, 2021

Rajasthan Prisons Bill, 2021 is a new bill proposed by the Rajasthan government to make the prisons in the state more humane and help inmates rehabilitate. The key focus of this Bill is to link inmates with employment opportunities and skill development. Prison security will also be enhanced to safeguard inmates’ rights. The bill is based on model jail manual shared by the Home Ministry in 2016.
