Raika-Bahu

Raika-Bahu is an eco-sensitive area under the Bahu Conservation Reserve in Jammu. It is located 3.75 km from Ramnagar Wildlife Sanctuary. It hosts several species like rock pigeon, Asian koel, barn owl, red-vented bulbul, jackal, wild boar and rhesus monkey. This region is currently under the threat of deforestation with the approval for the construction of the new Jammu and Kashmir High Court. This sparked protest in Raika village against the deforestation plan.
