Rafale Fighter Aircraft
Rafale Fighter Aircraft is a twin-engine combat aircraft capable of conducting both short and long-range missions, performing ground and sea attacks, reconnaissance and nuclear strikes. It was developed by the French-based Dassault Aviation. It was first developed for improving France’s air and naval defence.
The sixth batch of these fighter aircrafts have recently landed in India. These planes will be deployed in Hashimara, West Bengal. India has ordered 36 of these planes from France in 2016. With this recent arrival, two-third of the ordered planes has been received by India. They are expected to provide a strategic edge for ensuring enhanced border security.
