    Sir,

    In the 5th question, Elections of Panchayats are conducted by Union EC ? SECs are formed to conduct Local bodies such as panchayats right ? I guess answer should be b)2 and 3.

    If I am wrong pl correct me.

    Q.1 the answer should be consolidated fund of state,
    only the pension of High court judges is charged on consolidated fund of india

    Q1 isn't the salaru of judges of HC charged on consolidated fund of STATE and its the pension of judges which is charged on consolidated fund of INDIA

    Q5 isnt it STATE ELECTION COMMISSION which is responsible for conduct of PRI elections

    Q8 isnt the statemet 3 correct

      Election commissioner can be removed in same manner as in case of Judges of Supreme Court i.e. EC can be removed by passing a Resolution in this regard in both the Houses. Therefore 3rd statement of Q8 is not correct.

    NRI are allowed but they cant cast their vote through postal ballot they have to be present in their constituency at the time of election if they want to cast their vote..
    so the answer remains the same..

    its correct Chief Election Commissioner doesn’t have overriding powers, if a matter is not approved by the 3 members then the majority of the opinion is taken irrespective of the opinion of CEC

    @Surendra , here it is Union and not State Election Commission. So the Panchyat raj election responsibility falls under the State Election Commission and not UEC .
