    For Question 16
    V.S Naipaul got the booker award for "In a free state" in 1971 well before Salman Rushdie,if Naipaul of indo-trinidadian is not considered as Indian how can Rushdie(British) be consider as first indian
    Pls clarify…………..

    With ref to the above query I found the foll on wiki
