The Wular Lake in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir is the largest freshwater lake in India. Fed by the Jhelum River, the lake’s size varies seasonally from 30 to 260 square kilometres. The lake is one of the 26 Indian wetlands designated as a Ramsar site. It is a natural lake and measure more than 24 km across its basies.
