Pichavaram Mangrove Forest is located in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, India. It's located near the town of Chidambaram, about 15 km away. The forest covers an area of about 1,100 hectares, making it one of the largest mangrove forests in India. It's also the world's second largest mangrove forest.
The forest is home to 200 species of birds, as well as seaweed, prawns, crabs, fish, oysters, turtles, and otters. It's also home to Bengal tigers. The forest is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The largest mangrove forest in the world is the Sundarban Reserve Forest (SRF) in Bangladesh.
