Cotopaxi is an active stratovolcano located in the North Volcanic Zone Belt of Andean Volcanic Belt in the Pichincha/Cotopaxi province of Ecuador. This volcano, which is 5897 metres high above sea level, is the second-highest summit in Ecuador after Mount Chimborazo. Andes Mountain Ranges constitutes the parent range of this volcano. This volcanic mountain is located inside Cotopaxi National Park.
