General Dyer, responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, died of cerebral haemorrhage and arteriosclerosis in 1927. Michael O’Dwyer, Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab in India from 1912 until 1919, who had endorsed General Dyer’s action regarding the Amritsar massacre. Udham Singh waited 21 Years to avenge the man behind Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. He shot General Michael O'Dyer at a joint meeting.
