In his Empire in Afghanistan he used Aramic and Greek script for his edicts. In Pakistan region Kharoshthi script was used. Brahmi script was used for the rest of his empire from Kalsi in the north upto Mysore in south. Most of Ashoka’s inscriptions were in Prakrit and were written in the Brahmi script.
