Queen Charlotte
Queen Charlotte was the queen consort of King George III who ruled over the UK till 1820. Some historians claim that she was the first mixed race Royal in the British history. She is credited with having founded and expanded the famous Kew Gardens in London. She was also a great patron of music and had Mozart perform for her. Mozart’s Opus 3 was dedicated to Queen Charlotte. In light of the recent allegations of racism in the British royal family, the ancestry of Queen Charlotte is being debated among historians.
