QS World University Rankings for Asia

QS World University Rankings first issued in 2004 in partnership with Times Higher Education (THE) group decided to adopt a new methodology to create the ranking and announced its own version in 2010. Based in the United Kingdom (U.K) releases the annual publication of universities ranking around the world. QS stands for Quacquarelli Symonds, which is a British company specialized in the field of education, was founded in 1990. QS released the World University Rankings for Universities in Asia.

Highlights from the rankings:
The National University of Singapore was ranked as the best university in Asia for the 2nd year in a row, while another Singapore based university, Nanyang Technological University was ranked second in the ranking followed by the University of Hong Kong in third place.

From India, at 34th place in the ranking, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay was the best performing institute, followed by IIT Delhi at 43rd place and IIT Madras at 50th place in rankings.
