Prince Philippe is Belgium’s 7th King
Belgium’s King Albert after a 20-year reign stepped down the throne which has been overtaken by his son Philippe who took the oath before parliament to become Belgium’s seventh king at the royal palace in the presence of Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo who holds the political power in the 183-year old parliamentary democracy.
