Prime Minister to Launch Kisan Man Dhan Yojana on the 12th of September

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is schedule to launch Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana on 12 September 2019 at Ranchi in Jharkhand. During his visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate-

• 400 Ekalvya Model Residential Schools to provide quality upper primary, secondary, and senior secondary level education to ST Students in Tribal dominated areas.
• New Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Building and lay foundation stone for New Secretariat Building at Ranchi.
• Multi-Modal vessel Terminal built on banks of river Ganga at Sahebganj.

About Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana

Objective: KMDY seeks to secure the lives of 5 Crore Small and Marginal Farmers by providing a minimum pension.

Eligibility: All small and marginal farmers who are currently between ages of 18 to 40 years can apply for scheme.

Fund: Scheme has an outlay of Rs.10,774 Crores for next 3 years (2019-2022).

Features:

The minimum pension provided under KMDY would be of Rs.3000/month, to those who attain 60 years of age.

Farmer’s monthly contribution can be made from instalments of PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana) or through Common Service Centres (CSCs).
