President of India presents Visitor’s Awards 2019

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind hosted a Conference of all Central Universities Vice-Chancellors, Directors of Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research and the Indian Institute of Science (IIS), Bengaluru on Tuesday, 17th December 2019 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The President of India presented the 5th Visitor’s Award during the inaugural session of the conference. The following are the recipients of the 5th Visitor’s Award:

• Prof. Sibnath Deb- From Pondicherry University, for research in Humanities, Arts and Social Science.
• Prof. Sanjay Puri-From Jawaharlal Nehru University, for research in Physical Science.
• For research in Biological Science, the award was presented jointly to Prof. Asad Ullah Khan -From Aligarh Muslim University and Dr. Partima- From Jawaharlal Nehru University.
• For the Technology Department, Dr. Shaon Ray Chaudhuri- From Tripura University.
