Prabhakar Singh, DG, CPWD chosen for Eminent Engineer Award- 2019

Prabhakar Singh, Director General, Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has been chosen for elite and prestigious Eminent Engineer Award for Year 2019 by Institution of Engineers (India). He is chosen for his distinguished and exemplary Service in field of Engineering and Technology. The award shall be conferred to him on Engineers Day observed on 15 September 2019 in New Delhi.

He is an IIT Graduate and MBA from one of Premier Business Institute of India.

His enormous contributions and dedicated service to nation as an eminent technocrat has been instrumental in transforming Central Public Works Department (CPWD), premier engineering organisation of central government.

About Institution of Engineers (India)

It is the national organization of engineers in India. It was established on 13 September 1920 in Kolkata (West Bengal).

It is acclaimed to have pioneered non-formal education in engineering.

It has over 1 million members in 15 engineering disciplines in 114 centers or chapters in India and overseas. With this many participants it is world’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in engineering and technology world.
