Pompeii
Pompeii is an archaeological site in southern Italy’s Campania region near the coast of the Bay of Naples. It is buried under mounds of ash and pumice after the volcanic eruption from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. A well-preserved four-wheeled carriage made of iron, bronze and tin was excavated recently from a villa near Pompeii site. This is the first of its kind carriage to be discovered in this region.
