PM to start-off projects of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to start-off and lay foundation stone to several projects of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur in Gujarat. Projects will be launched on August 4, 2022, virtually.

These projects include;

  1. Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital– Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital will be inaugurated at Dharampur in Valsad district. It is a 250-bed multispecialty hospital, constructed at the cost of 200 crore rupees. Hospital is equipped with cutting edge medical infrastructure. It will provide world class tertiary medical facilities, to the people Gujarat.
  2. Shrimad Rajchandra Animal Hospital– PM will set down the foundation stone of 150-bed Shrimad Rajchandra Animal Hospital. It will be constructed at the cost of 70 crore rupees. Hospital will be equipped with dedicated team of veterinarians, ancillary staff and top-class facilities. Holistic medical care and conventional medicine will be provided for the animals.
  3. Shrimad Rajchandra Center of Excellence for Women– Foundation stone for Shrimad Rajchandra Center of Excellence for Women will also be set down. It will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore. It will comprise of recreation facilities, classrooms for self-development sessions and rest areas. More than 700 tribal women will be employed while several others will get livelihood.

Who was Shrimad Rajchandraji? 

He was a Jain poet, philosopher, mystic, scholar and reformer. He was born in in Vavaniya village near Morbi (present day Gujarat). He wrote many philosophical poetries, one being Atma Siddhi. He is well known to provide spiritual guidance to Mahatma Gandhi.
