PM to launch Third Installment of PM KISAN
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Karnataka from Thursday, 2nd January 2019. The Prime Minister’s visit to the state will commence at Tumkur district where he will offer his prayers at the Lingayat matha, Sree Siddaganga Matha. At the matha, the foundation stone will be laid by the Prime Minister by unveiling a plaque for the memorial museum of Shri Shri Shivakumar Swamiji.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will attend a public meeting at Tumkur, where for progressive farmers he will distribute the Krishi Karman Awards and Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) to select farmers from the state of Karnataka. At the same event, the third installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) will be launched by the Prime Minister, under the third installment of the scheme, around 6 crore farmers will be benefited across the country. The third installment of the scheme is for the period of December 2019- March 2020.
