PM Modi’s Rajasthan Visit for Infrastructure Projects worth Rs 46,300cr
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan on December 17, 2024, to participate in the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ program. This event commemorates one year of governance by the Rajasthan state government. During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 24 infrastructure projects, with a total investment exceeding ₹46,300 crores.
Overview of Projects
The infrastructure projects include nine inaugurations and 15 foundation stone ceremonies. Among these, seven are initiated by the central government, while two are state government projects. The foundation stones for nine central government projects and six state government projects will also be laid.
Key Inaugurations
Notable inaugurations will feature the Navnera Barrage, aimed at enhancing the state’s water supply. Other projects include a Smart Electricity Transmission Network and the electrification of the railway track between Bhildi and Ratangarh. A major bridge over the Mej River, part of the Delhi-Vadodara Green Field Alignment project, will also be inaugurated.
Water and Energy Initiatives
PM Modi will lay the groundwork for various water and energy projects, such as the Ramgarh and Mahalpur Barrages. An aqueduct will be constructed to transfer water from the Navnera Barrage to Bisalpur and Isarda Dams, with an estimated cost of over ₹9,400 crores.
Solar Energy Developments
In the solar energy sector, the Prime Minister will initiate the installation of rooftop solar panels on government buildings. Additionally, he will announce the development of a 2000 MW solar park in Poogal, Bikaner, along with two further phases of 1000 MW solar parks.
Railway Infrastructure Projects
The visit will also highlight railway infrastructure advancements. PM Modi will lay the foundation for several railway projects, including the Luni-Samdari-Bhildi Double Line, Ajmer-Chanderiya Double Line, and Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur Double Line. Energy transmission developments will accompany these railway enhancements.
