PM Modi to be the Guest at the Eastern Economic Forum

PM Modi has accepted the invitation by the Russian President Putin to be the main guest at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEC) to be held in September at Vladivostok, Russia.

The Eastern Economic Forum (EEC) is an annual event held at Vladivostok, Russia to encourage foreign investment in the Russian Far East. The forum also provides a platform to discuss key issues in the world economy, regional integration, and the development of new industrial and technological sectors, as well as of the global challenges facing Russia and other nations.

The business programme also includes business dialogues with leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and with ASEAN. India s participation is in tune with India s interest in the Pacific and the Act East policy.
