Palliative Care

It is specialized medical care for seriously ill people. This type of care focuses on relieving stress of the disease and the symptoms. The objective is to improve the quality of life of both the suffering patient as well as the family.

Who can provide Palliative care?

Palliative care is provided by a team of specially trained  nurses, doctors, and other specialists who, together with the patient’s other physicians, offer an additional level of support. Palliative care is geared towards the needs of the patient, not the prognosis of the patient. It is suitable for all ages and at any stage of severe disease and can be used in conjunction with curative treatment.
