Facebook’s Oversight Board decides what content to take down or leave up on the social media platform. Its members include experts from various fields like law, technology and digital rights. The aim of the board is to ‘promote free expression’ by taking independent but principled decisions on the content on Facebook and Instagram. Users can appeal against the actions taken by these platforms. The board is expected to decide on the status of Trump’s Facebook account.
