Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams passed away
Oscar-winning actor Robin McLaurin Williams (63) passed away. Williams was an American actor, stand-up comedian, film producer, and screenwriter. He became famous with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy (1978–82). He went on to become a famed actor in both stand-up comedy and feature film.
His acting was lauded in films such as Good Will Hunting (1997), Aladdin (1992), Jumanji (1995), Night at the Museum (2006), and Happy Feet (2006).
Awards and Honors:
He was nominated thrice for the Academy Award for Best Actor and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Good Will Hunting. He also received four Golden Globe Awards, two Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.
