• Earlier to Omni Hansa V5, the longest distance covered by any drone in India was 42 kilometres.
• The Omni Hansa V5 is an auto-pilot drone. The entire flight of the drone from take off to landing was completely autonomous.
• The Omni Hansa V5 takes off and lands like a helicopter. It does not need any runway.
• It is called Hybrid fixed wing VTOL drone. VTOL means Vertical take off and landing drone.
• The drone is capable of flying more than 51 kilometres in Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) mode.
• The Omni Hansa V5 is capable of reaching a maximum height of 400 feet.
• The first flight of the drone was held in Haryana.
