World Health Assembly
During the World Health Assembly in May 2021, governments from across the world recognised the need of scaling up quality mental health services at all the levels. Some of the countries have found new ways to provide mental health care to their populations.
World Mental Health Day campaign 2021
During the World Mental Health Day 2021 campaign, WHO will showcase the efforts made in some of the countries to inspire other countries to initiate & find new ways to provide mental health care support. The campaign is being organised by the World Health Organisation under the slogan: “Mental health care for all: let’s make it a reality”.
About World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health awareness, education and advocacy against the social stigma. The day was first observed in the year 1992 at an initiative of World Federation for Mental Health. This federation is a global mental health organization comprising of members & contacts from more than 150 countries. In some countries, like in Australia, this day is part of an awareness week.
