National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme ((NVBDCP)

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme provides assistance to States and UTs for control of vector borne diseases like Malaria, Kala-azar, Japanese Encephalitis, Filaria and Dengue. A Malaria control project with the support from World Bank is in 5 States (Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Karnataka) and FGATM in 7 North Eastern State is being run. Under Filaria Control Programme – Mass Drug Administration initiated and completed under 19 states/UTs. The allocation in 2012-13 was around Rs. 643 crore.
