Nuclear Safety and Regulatory Authority Bill Approved by Cabinet

The Union Cabinet has approved the setting up of a new independent nuclear safety regulatory authority which will report to the Parliament and will be headed by a professional with extensive experience in atomic energy. The Nuclear Safety and Regulatory Authority Bill has been cleared by Cabinet in this context. Details are awaited.
