Nominations invited for the “Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar”
The Government of India has come out with invitations for nominations for the “Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar” to be bestowed on individuals who should be recognized for excellent work in the field of disaster management. Both individuals and institutions which are involved in this work can fill the nomination form for the awards.
Details of the Award
Every year, the winners for the award are announced on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23. It is given in areas such as rescue operations, relief and mitigation of the disaster-related incidents, prevention, preparedness, rehabilitation, research and innovation in the field of disaster management. The winners will get a certificate of acknowledgement and cash award worth Rs 51 lakhs for institutions and Rs 5 lakhs for the individual winners.
Nomination Process
The award has been designed in order to recognize the efforts of individuals and institutions working in this arena selflessly. The individuals, as well as the institutions, can self-nominate themselves or also others for this award. The last date of filing the nominations will be August 31 within which the online applications are to be submitted on the website www.dmawards.ndma.gov.in.
